How many people can actually put on their resume that they were a Genius and not have it be an opinion. On June 5, I will officially be able to call myself a Genius, a Mac Genius,

I have decided that it is my time to leave RIT. As of Friday morning, I signed with Apple Computer, Inc as a Mac Genius in their new store which is going to be in the Eastview Mall in Victor, NY. For those of you that don't have a map or don't know the Rochester area that well, Victor is about 15-20 miles East of Rochester. That means, I don't have to move!! Which is good news.

The job will basically entail similar things to what I was doing with ITS while I was at RIT except I will be getting paid a boatload more. I'll be doing primarily customer support dealing with Apple products including software, and hardware troubleshooting and hopefully some training.

During my time at the School of Film and Animation, I really did learn a lot and gained a great deal of business knowledge. While difficult at times, it was a good starting point. The other nice thing about not moving is that I'll be able to maintain my elected position as a local SMPTE manager.

Stay tuned and I will let everyone know when the Apple Store in Eastview will be opening so you can all come and visit on opening day (as long as it doesn't violate any NDA's)!!!
